Time really does fly by! Eric and I thought we would introduce you to our wedding party. Some are long time friends/family and some new, but they have been by our side when we've needed it most and enjoyed many laughs, hopefully many more yet to come.

~The girls~ by Angie

Maid of Honor: Jenna Loeffler
Jenna and I have been friends since the second grade. There have been so many slumber parties, getting ready for Jr high & high school dances, and nights out on the town in college that we have some great memories to look back on. She's been like a sister to me. She is also getting married this summer and so we have been having a lot of fun planning our weddings together. She lives in Fullerton, NE.

Maid of Honor: Jenny Towey
Jenny and I went to grade school together, but really started hanging out in high school. She too has been like a sister to me. Hanging out in the summers and going on some road trips, we have some awesome memories to reminisce about. She will always be my wife (per a high school psychology class) :) She lives in Omaha, NE.

Bridesmaid: Michelle (Kolm) Barnds
Michelle and I also went to grade school together. We really didn't hang out a lot till college when we became roommates. We were roommates in Lincoln for 3 years and we had a blast. She was the best roommate and friend! I'm so happy she can be apart of our wedding as she just had her first baby girl this past Thursday! She and her husband Matt lives in Olathe, KS.

Bridesmaid: Becky Hupp
Becky and I were in the same business/accounting classes at UNL. We made it through the many classes together, no matter how crazy the professor, and have been friends ever since. She lives in Denver, CO.

Bridesmaid: Lyndee (Krepcik) Koch
Lyndee and I also met in a class at UNL. We are so much alike, so we hit it off right away. We had so much fun just hanging out and going to the football games to watch her husband play. She and her husband, Brandon and little boy, Tristan live in Gothenburg, NE.

Flower Girl: Addison Chapman
Addison is the daughter of Tony (Eric's cousin) and Kerry Chapman of Grand Island, NE. She is the big sister of Olivia and Ella and loves Hannah Montana. She is going to be so cute and we are excited to have her as one of our flower girls.

Flower Girl: Londyn Chapman
Londyn is the daughter of Tyler (Eric's cousin) and Latisha Chapman of Wichita, KS. She is enjoying her newly decorated "Minnie Mouse" room and loves been the big sister of Sydney. She is going to be adorable and we can't wait to have her as our other flower girl.

~The boys~ by Eric

Best man: Aaron Allgood
Aaron's been my brother for as long as I can remember. Through every game of basement basektball, to round of golf, to, yes all those fights, there's no one else I'd rather have next to me on June 6. Aaron lives in Lincoln, and attends UNL.

Groomsman: Conrad Saltzgaber
Don't worry about trying to pronounce his last name, I just call him "C." A hall mate in the dorms at Nebraska-Kearney freshman year, and later a roommate in the house, C and I have had some times, as the saying goes. The first to give me the nickname Spoon, Conrad lives with his wife Ashley in Lincoln.

Groomsman: Tyler Chapman
Easily the "Ty Webb" of the family (that's a Caddyshack reference, if you didn't know), Ty is my cousin. Forever linked to the day in the snow at York Country Club (Ty shot 35, I shot 49), we each qualified for the State Golf Tourney in 1998. (Instantly, Ty feels older, as if changing diapers didn't do that already!) Ty and Tish live in Wichita with their two girls, the afore mentioned Londyn, and Sydney.

Groomsman: Adam Wegner
"Wags" was "C's" roommate freshman year, and then "keeper of the house." He and his folks were kind enough to give me a place to live my last two years of college. I also gotta give him props; it was him that let me sit in on his radio show for the college station, peaked my interest in radio, and here I am today! Adam still resides in "the house" (though a nice remodeling project is ongoing) in Kearney.

Groomsman: Tim Garman
The mayor of Courtland (no, really he is!), Tim is quickly surpassing Aaron as the guy I've played the most golf with. Like any good freindship, I don't really remember why we started playing, we just did. Tim has also been a color man for basketball for just about every game I've done in Belleville, and has been a frequent "commenter" on both this and my sports blog. Tim lives with his wife Kerri in Courtland, KS.

Ring Bearer: Mason Johnson
Cory (my cousin) and Leslie's oldest boy, Mason gets the honor of walking up with Addison and Londyn. He likes the movie "Cars," loves playing with older sister Taylor and younger brother Clayton, and was the recipent of a football thrown to him by Nebraska DB's coach Marvin Sanders at this years spring game! They live in Gretna, NE.

Golfing on Friday

A heads up to anyone who will be in the Albion area Friday morning June 5. We're playing golf that morning, probably about 10am or so. If you are going to play, let me know ASAP so we can get some tee times. Most of you know, we are having two flower girls who are both Eric's 2nd cousins. They are very close in age and will make adorable additions to our wedding party. I'm very excited because I have found dresses for each of them. The dress are similar but different enough to give some personality. Just last night we received the flower girl baskets in the mail. Poor Eric... I was very excited as I opened the packages. The baskets are soo cute and elegant and I just wanted to carry it around all night. I may have to order another so I can carry one up! Just kidding. My bridal bouquet will be exquisite, but that is for another blog. So between the dresses and the baskets everything is coming together, however, I have a few more accessories to add to the picture so the fun is still coming. Tax season is well under way so I am definitely testing my organizational skills that is for sure!

The Cake

Most of you know that I have a little side business of cake decorating, and though many of you think I'm crazy, I am doing my own wedding cake. So after many nights of searching I have a vision of my cake. Actually it is a combination of a these pictures. I definitely know I want the layers stacked directly on top of each other. With traditional round layers I think it will have a simple yet elegant appeal to it. I love this brown one with the scrolls. I'm not really a lot of flowers on the cake kinda girl but definitely love scrollies. This other cake is going to be the base of my idea. I love how the color shows through on the bottom of the layers. With my colors as royal blue and ivory, I think it will look so vibrant. Now the trick is to not make everyone's mouth blue hehehe. Hopefully that gives you an idea of the look I'm going for and task I am undertaking. Because I can not come up with the actual picture, you will definitely have to make sure to check out the cake.

Engagement Pics!!!

We finally got the date set for pics, they're taken, and we've got the proofs... online for everyone to see! Randy and Dee Erb, in Milford, NE, took my mom and step-dad's wedding pics, so we knew what we were going to get when we called to set up the date. They will also be taking our wedding photos.

Randy's Studio has put our engagement pics online. This way everyone can view them at any time. Follow the link and see what you like. Let us know which ones you want, and we can make big order... it's cheaper that way. But hurry! The set expires November 16. I can officially check it off the checklist. Earlier this month my mom (Irene), Karen (Eric's mom), and Jenny (one of my MOH's) traveled to Lincoln to go dress shopping. I had more of an idea of what I wanted, but it was still fun to try on the "omg are you kidding me" dresses. It was the last store and the last dress I tried on. Both shopping days were a lot of fun and it was such a great memory to have. I wish I could describe it to you all but it has to be a surprise for the wonderful groom of mine. Thanks to those of you who shared your dress shopping experiences with me, it makes it all the more special.

The Hunt Has Begun

My first day of dress shopping... 2 cities, 5 shops, 4 hours, and 40+ dresses later.... :) My mom, Jenna (one of my MOH's), and my aunt came along for the adventure helping me in and out of the poofy glittery dressing weighing in at a little over a hundred pounds each (well it seemed like it). The second week in May was suppose to be really nice, so we decided on Thursday, May 15th, we would have our picnic. I decided to make fried chicken (because that is what you have on picnics :) ) and he got some of our favorite wine. Well, Thursday came and it was cold and rainy, but darn it we were going to have our picnic! So I picked him up and we went to Rocky Pond by Belleville and sat and ate. Apparently he didn't have the ring with him then, because he didn't want it to rain on us. We drove around the country for a while, admired the beautiful lilacs and decided to head back. I had to bake cakes that night so we decided I would drop him off, and then he would come over to my apartment and hang out while I baked my cakes. I was at my apartment, starting my cakes, when he comes in and says close your eyes...(knowing Eric I wasn't sure what he was going to do), but eventually I did and I could smell lilacs. I opened my eyes, and he had picked me a lilac branch, it was soo sweet...what I didn't realize at first is that he had put a ring on one of the branches. When I saw it, I think I was speechless...it was all a blur. Then he got down on one knee and asked me and ... I said yes! ...it was perfect...

How we met...

December 31, 2005 ~ New Year's Eve

After being home in Primrose from Christmas vacation, I headed back to Lincoln to meet up with Jenny Towey and my roommate Michelle (Kolm) Barnds. We were going to ring in the new year at our friend Cory Scott's house (another good friend from high school). Jenna Loeffler who I have been friends with since 2nd grade and her boyfriend at the time, Aaron Allgood (Eric's brother) were also on their way to Lincoln to go to Cory's house. After meeting Aaron for the second time, Aaron says that his brother is in town visiting some friends and that I should meet him. So after some persuasion from everyone, Aaron calls him and tells him he should come to Cory's house. Eric arrives with his friends Tim and David Dobson (who I happened to go to preschool through sixth grade with...small world). We met, talked, and danced the night away. After much recooperation the next day Jenna and Aaron, and Eric and I went for breakfast, where Jenna and I were entertained by Eric and Aaron's duets. (He can sing! yeay) Before he left to go back to Belleville, he got my number. He called me that week and we talked everynight after. We would talk for hours about everything imaginable. Towards the end of January, I made the big trip to Belleville, KS....KANSAS (I had never been to Kansas) where we saw each other for the second time, but since we had talk on the phone so much, it's as if I had known him for so long. For two years, there was about two hours between us, but nothing could keep us apart.

The only place you'll want to be

Zoom in using the + features with the arrows to see the detail of the locations.
